Tudor Place in Georgetown

What an amazing home and acreage this is in Georgetown. This home was built for Thomas Peter and his wife Martha Parke Custis (granddaughter to Martha Washington). This home actually stayed in this family until the last residents just up and left one day to move elsewhere and actually left all their belongings to the estate. Everything.......clothes in the closets, dishes, books, etc. We loved visiting Tudor Place. But my very favorite thing on this property is in the next picture. You know how I love old cars!

This is a 1919 Pierce-Arrow. Pierce-Arrow was an American automobile manufacturer based in Buffalo, New York, which was active from 1901-1938. Best known for its expensive luxury cars, Pierce-Arrow also manufactured commercial trucks, fire trucks, camp trailers, motorcycles, and bicycles.

This is simply the garage. The garage that houses the Pierce-Arrow......Pretty nice huh?
