I love My life!!!! My family is the most important thing to me in this earthly life. I am a Christian and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I try hard everyday to be the best example of "Christ" that I can be. I am a work in progress! I am the mother of two married daughters and I love to spoil my seven grandchildren. I would like to think that I am a loving daughter, mother, mother-in-law, nana, aunt, sister and friend.
I am most thankful for my family and my love of the gospel! These are the gems of my earthly life and there is not a day that goes by that I do not tell my Father in heaven how grateful I am for these special blessings! Both my family and my church keep me in check!
Even when I feel alone at times ....I know in my heart... that I am not!
On my last trip to San Francisco we took a day trip over the Golden Gate Bridge into Muir Woods and then onto Sausalito. It was so much fun!
Sausalito has all of these amazing little shops and that is where I found this adorable Elf on the Shelf LED Candle. I have been waiting ever since I bought him to bring him out for the holiday season!
How cute is he!
Tomorrow he will make his big debut in the Macy's Day Parade!
It's a darn shame that we still don't have one here in Southern Utah!
But......I am in Vegas so often that it just gives me one more reason to go MORE often!
I got nearly all of the Christmas shopping done for the grandkidos this past weekend and I simply love this store. It has everything and I think it makes me feel like a kid again..... even if it's just for a little while...........
I discovered this little treat in Vegas this past weekend and let me just say that it is the perfect combination of mint and milk chocolate! I found it at Walgrens so ....on my way home yesterday I stopped at a local Utah Walgrens and it was nowhere to be found!
It has been 38 years ago today that one of the very most important men in my life passed from this earth!
I remember the exact events of this day like it was ten minutes ago.
You would think that .........this day might just pass by like any other after all these years.....but it never has!
It hit me at 7:45AM when I looked at the calendar and of course I was sad at first, cause I miss him so much! I miss both my grandpa Frank and grandma Opal! I spent a great deal of my childhood with them and they were wonderful examples for me.
I simply do not know where the years have gone!
I do know of God's plan and that we will be together again......
This past weekend I headed north to be with the family for my grandson Luke's baptism.
In our church... which is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are baptized as members of the church when we turn 8 years of age. We are blessed as newborns... which means we are given a blessing by a male member of our family or a close friend.
It was such a special time and so many of our family members came to share our special day with us and to enjoy a yummy brunch afterwards!
Our sweet Lukas, Henli and Layni sang a beautiful song called "Gethsemane".
