Old Town Alexandria, Virginia

This post is for my sweet mama. This is one of our most favorite places to visit and although we have never been here during the holidays I thought it would be fun for her to see it so beautifully decorated in it's finest holiday attire.

At the end of King Street in Old Town Alexandria you are looking at the George Washington National Masonic Memorial Temple.

Old Town parade of boats start here at the Torpedo Factory.

Old Town Parade of Boats at dusk with a beautiful view of Capitol Hill.

Boats at the harbor decorated for the holidays!

I can't tell you how much we loved Old Town! It is such a quaint and little cozy town with so many wonderful little shops and restaurants. The people were so very warm and friendly, and talk about a pet friendly neighborhood.....each store has a freshly filled doggie water dish everyday at their front door.

And the history here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding? Between all the Robert E. Lee, George Washington, Civil War and the local Cemetery history, a person could go back again and again.

We did take the boat ride from the Torpedo Factory up the Potomac River to Georgetown and that was amazing and so memorable.

Old Town Alexandria! It's a must ...if you are ever in the D.C. area.........
