My dear friend Renee whom I have met and been friends with through this wonderful " blogging world" is not doing well. She has been living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer and has taken a turn for the worse. Even though we have never met in person we have shared many things through blogging. We have shared thoughts, emotions, comments, photos, laughter, tears and alot of encouragement.
I am very saddened to know that she is not doing well. For now her sweet Angel daughter is keeping us updated on her condition. My thoughts and prayers are with my friend this day.

Thanks for the great info Mildred!

Knotts Berry Farm Trip
Last weekend Mackenzie, Joe and baby Wynter went to Knotts Berry Farm with her Dad, Cindy (her other mom.......she is so blessed to have two!) and all her brothers. They had such a wonderful time just being together and staying at the "ghetto" Rodeway Inn in Anaheim. This will be the last time they will be together for a family trip for awhile since Matthew will be leaving for the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in mid March to prepare for his 2yr. mission in the Fort Worth, Texas area. We wish him the best and we know that he will "do his best" to serve the Lord. Where is Jordan? Oh..he is the one taking the picture!

Hoover Dam Bypass Project
This past weekend I traveled to Vegas to spend some time with my daughter Mackenzie, her hubby Joe and of course.........baby Wynter.
On Saturday we drove out to check on the Hoover Dam project. I had not been out here for years and didn't even realize this project was going on. Increasing congestion and restrictions (since 911) led to the development of the new Colorado River Bridge.
The 2000 feet of bridge began in January of 2005 and is expected to be completed late this year. When completed, this signature bridge will span the Black Canyon, connecting the Arizona and Nevada approach highway, nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River.
If you would like to see real time images of the construction please go to http://www.hooverdambypass.org/ and click on the web cam.

Meesey Cat is gone................
For the past ten years I have been feeding three stray cats. Well I guess at times it was four. There was a little gray cat I called Gracie cat that passed on about 5 years ago. The cats were never allowed in the house...but just having them greet me every day was a nice feeling.
When I would tell people I don't have any cats but that I feed three strays. They would say Brooke it's been ten years........THEY ARE YOUR CATS!!!
The Siamese cat I named "Meesey cat" and he was just the best cat.
To make a long story short he became sick and died.
I am surprised at how saddened I am by the loss. It has only been two weeks but there is still such a loss when I come home and he is not there to run out and greet me.
I guess that I am hoping by writing this that I will have some sort of closure.
This is why I don't have pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Northern Weekend!!
This past weekend I headed north to spend several days with my daughter Ivy and her family. We love being together and we always have lots of fun. We shopped, had lunch at our favorite restaurant, played the Wii, and opened a few Valentines presents that I brought along.
On Saturday night Layni, Ivy and I sat down to watch the Ms. America Pageant. We love doing that! Last year I was at my daughter Mackenzie's and we watched it with little crowns on our heads that I had brought along.. Too funny..........It's a tradition for us to sit with our paper and pencil and pick our favorites!........Yep........Ms. Virginia was sure on my list.
On Sunday I got up and made my yummy Clam Chowder and then took the kidos to church. Poor Ivy was not feeling well this day. She still has some rough patches but "in general" her good days out weigh her bad ones. She is now 24 weeks along with this twin pregnancy.
