Memories

You are so very special to me
So I treasure each and every memory....
I put them in this memory box
So I could keep them intact.

Only sometimes do I bring them out..to ponder..to remember when

Through every memory that has passed
I tuck them safely away..........
From the very moment that we drifted apart
I kept reminiscing through the box that I have kept

Months, days and years have gone by
And only today, it is ......that I cry.............
The news was shocking and still seems surreal
Oh it was all so long ago but yet "it was very real"

Alot of changes I now see
But I still keep this box of memories..........

"How grateful we are for our memories".........I know that the day will come when I will not remember some of these special times, special places and these very special people, but for today.......
