Sweet Birthday Surprise!

On Friday Mackenzie, Joe and Wynter showed up on my doorstep singing "Happy Birthday", holding balloons and bringing gifts and cake. What a surprise! Then I got to take Saturday off from work. Wow..............Thanks everyone who made this happen!

We spent the whole weekend just hanging out and playing tourist.

Geez.......... I just can't take them anywhere! This is one of our favorite places to eat, "Bit and Spur". What even made it sweeter is that I had a coupon for two free meals!

I'm ready for a nice thick juicy steak Nana! ok.......maybe a few bites of beans Dad!

Traveling Through The Park

Wynter was just not sure about putting her feet down on the straw. She seemed very concerned!

I know.........It's a duplicate and I don't know how to delete a picture.

These watermelons were huge.

"55" Chevy and the man says "it really runs"..........I want it!
Let's see 1955 and I am 55 today! Where did the years go?

Saturday was a super stormy day here in the canyon and I got some great photos.

Moqui Caves

On our way to Kanab we stopped here at Moqui Cave. I'm pretty sure we had been before but......let's face it, I'm getting older and more forgetful. We did pay the $5.00 entry fee and went into the cave. It was pretty cool and inside they have the largest collection of fluorescent rocks.

There were also alot of old Cowboy movies made here and near by. I thought it was cool that as we left the two cute local girls were asking the foreigners about their homelands and if they knew about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Check out the TV antenna at the top!

Sweet baby Wynter smiling for her Nana.

Wish I would have been there this day!

Utah's Little Hollywood

Located in Kanab, Utah is this Frontier Movie Town. Kanab is about an hour from us here in Zion Canyon. Hollywood started using this area for movies in 1924 and then the last film made here was in 2001 which was Planet of the Apes. Alot of these sets are from the movie "Josie Wells". One of my all time favorite movie lines is from this movie. It's the one about the shotgun..........It's for shootin squirrels and such! Ha Ha......

Ah.............the comforts of home!

I love this photo. I said to my daughter Mackenzie that at one time this headboard was a luxury and probably a very treasured item for someone.

This would be the back to one of the buildings. These are white lace curtain panels that hang from the windows.

My Night Sky

I simply could not grab my camera fast enough last night to get outside and capture these shots. All were taken within minutes of each other.

Amazing Huh?

Silly Mommy and Wynter...

Nana's Surprise Visit

Yesterday my sweet Mackenzie and her baby Wynter came to spend the night! It was a surprise visit! How fun! That sweet little Wynter is growing up so fast and she was 9 months old yesterday. I think she has 7 teeth now and she really wanted to show them to her Nana!!

My Nana needs a toy box for me when I come! All I had to play with was measuring cups, measuring spoons and this nice shiny chip clip! Hey....those are the best toys ever Wynter!
