Meesey Cat is gone................

For the past ten years I have been feeding three stray cats. Well I guess at times it was four. There was a little gray cat I called Gracie cat that passed on about 5 years ago. The cats were never allowed in the house...but just having them greet me every day was a nice feeling.
When I would tell people I don't have any cats but that I feed three strays. They would say Brooke it's been ten years........THEY ARE YOUR CATS!!!
The Siamese cat I named "Meesey cat" and he was just the best cat.
To make a long story short he became sick and died.
I am surprised at how saddened I am by the loss. It has only been two weeks but there is still such a loss when I come home and he is not there to run out and greet me.
I guess that I am hoping by writing this that I will have some sort of closure.
This is why I don't have pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Northern Weekend!!
This past weekend I headed north to spend several days with my daughter Ivy and her family. We love being together and we always have lots of fun. We shopped, had lunch at our favorite restaurant, played the Wii, and opened a few Valentines presents that I brought along.
On Saturday night Layni, Ivy and I sat down to watch the Ms. America Pageant. We love doing that! Last year I was at my daughter Mackenzie's and we watched it with little crowns on our heads that I had brought along.. Too funny..........It's a tradition for us to sit with our paper and pencil and pick our favorites!........Yep........Ms. Virginia was sure on my list.
On Sunday I got up and made my yummy Clam Chowder and then took the kidos to church. Poor Ivy was not feeling well this day. She still has some rough patches but "in general" her good days out weigh her bad ones. She is now 24 weeks along with this twin pregnancy.

Cemetery Sleuthing in The Snow......
For those of you who know me ..know that I take volunteer photographs of grave stones for several websites and for family history/genealogy. I have been a consultant now for some 30 years and am "OBSESSED" with this hobby. My little grandkidos Layni and Luke love to go along for the hunt.......We have the best time and sometimes they bring up the most interesting questions and come up with their own stories!!Looks Like I Will Be Sewing!!!
Ivy has found the cutest new creation! It is a cover for the baby car carrier seat. She said "mom you know you can make this" ....it will be real easy. I can usually make things without a pattern if I can just look at something that is already made. So off we went to the fabric store and she has been talking about these animal prints for weeks. Cute Huh ????? Of course we will need two of these since we are having twin girls!! Should be fun!!
Lunch at Pizza Factory
Wii Madddddddness....
For Christmas I bought the family the WII. I had certainly heard of it but really had never seen it played. They have a couple of games but Uncle Matthew had bought them and sent with me the "Mario Brothers".... OH MY HECK!!!First let me say I remember the Nintendo with the girls. ....()&&^%@&*_)+_^*$^
My daughter Mackenzie would have total melt downs with some of the games and then her husband Joe also made a few confessions of his own with "Nintendo Meltdowns". It wasn't very long and my sweet little Lukie Bear had a huge melt down over the Mario game. Needless to say it won't be played very often.
